home sweet home............

what can i say.....as i was taking these pictures, tears just started rolling down my cheeks....ahhh --- this is my FAVORITE time of the year in nacogdoches.....i'm gonna plant me an azealea or two in a pot and take em' with me to midland.........

tyler...spring break at the beach

this year tyler (of course) went to FLORIDA for spring break. he and kathryn went to her grandparent's beach house in BOCA GRANDE for a few days. as you can tell from the collage, they had a blast. we really were not sure if tyler would return home.......everytime we talked to him, he just went on and on about how "amazing" florida was and that he could really get used to living there.... and all this time we thought we have had him fooled into thinking that TX is the greatest state!haha we were so thankful that kathryn came to TX for Easter visit ............ and then it had to go and snow............

what a great scene for our "spring" Easter family picture. got about 2" of snow on the eve of Easter.......just in time for julie's big 50th celebration........ :)

it's snowing at EASTER in APRIL!!!...............

Easter this year was WILD.....snow in nacogdoches does NOT happen.....and snow in April....well.........what a crazy day full of fun surprises. kathryn's 2nd and last visit to nacogdoches was a memorable one.....an easter that she should never forget.....

by the way......they have WAY too much fun!! :)

bruce moves to midland.....round one

spring break we move bruce to midland to start his new job at midland lee high school. so far.....so good. i got (unwillingly) to be his "first" treatment in his "new" training room. first few hours in town after arriving, we are out looking at new construction for homes..........and you would know.....i step on a nail....goes right through my "crocs" and deep into the ball of my foot. what a mess! no fun and after getting "the lecture" from bruce about wearing crocs (of course i assured him that there was absolutely no more room in his loaded truck for me to pack another pair of shoes -- that didn't fly) .... i ended up at the ER clinic for a shot and antibiotics. but, the trooper i am (ha) i limped along all weekend and got him moved in. i think the funniest things asked about moving to midland is from the people that want to know if bruce is going to be on friday night lights.....cracks me up -- i am really gonna miss the people of deep east texas! :)
